Day Two

Orientation and Exploration of Kensington

semi-overcast 16 °C

Woke up for orientation at 10 am down the block at foundation house. We were introduced to the staff and they informed us about the different things available to us while we are in London. We got our Oyster cards, which allow us to travel on the tube and buses!

Kensington Garden is gorgeous! The park is huge with a bunch of different little sections and memorials.

After wondering around the streets of Kensington we found St. Mary's Abbot! This church is over 1000 years old and still has regular services.

We hopped on the tube and went to Baker St. We found the house of Sherlock Holmes and walked up and down Baker St. We got dinner in a pub called the Beehive and enjoyed delicious fish and chips. On the way back home we encountered our first rain showers, which I am sure we will get use to eventually. We made it home and watched the very disappointing soccer match, England vs. Algeria, who tied 0-0.
